Authentic Media is a Christian media brand forged between the partnership of GTMA, a marketing agency based around storytelling, and Worship Leader, a magazine and media publication with a 30-year history. The Branding division at GTMA was tasked with creating the logo and branding surrounding this new parent entity.
With little to go off of, the task at hand was to create a logo and brand that felt like a modern media brand using stark colors and minimalist design. During the logo iteration process, the stakeholders were particularly drawn to the logo’s hearkening back to retro design through its use of shape and gradient coloring. The brand itself maintains minimal modernism that feels approachable through combining a playful tech-forward sans serif with a traditional serif typeface, and photography that exudes minimalism, vividness, and expression.
